MICROCORE

Microcore is a research and consulting oriented Biotech company, which was incorporated and certified by the Government of India in April 2007, as per the companies Act,1956 (No.1 of 1956).

We strive towards providing innovative solutions to customer needs and are extensively involved in new process and product development.

Our areas of expertise are agro-processing, nutraceuticals and fiber sciences, biotechnology with specific focus on microbial fermentation. This firm is managed by technocrats who have long and diverse experience in fermentation industries, agricultural sciences, industrial biotechnology and chemical engineering.

Our core focus is on converting industrial waste in to cost-effective and high value products for the food and biotechnology industries. In the last few years, we have developed unique technologies to convert wastes from agro-processing, egg processing and aqua processing industries to highly useful food products.

We are focused towards marketing eco-friendly solutions to wide variety of industries such as pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, animal healthcare, food and beverages, agriculture, waste management, textile and leather.

We believe that our indigenous technologies have to be copyrighted, which has led to registering four patents with Indian Patent Organization(IPO) Read More

We are dedicated to providing high quality service at reasonable costs to our clients. We continue to meet their needs via contract research and development studies, consulting on feasibility studies, project management, process, product and application development and technology acquisitions.

We provide technical and business reports to firms, which aids them to make strategic decisions. This has contributed to increasing profitability and overcoming scientific challenges that are encountered in the development of product and process portfolios.

We are dedicated to serve our clients to meet their needs by contract research, consulting on feasibility studies, project management, process, product, application development and R&D needs.

We focus towards aiding firms in making strategic decisions to increase profitability and tackle scientific challenges encountered in product and process development. We support companies in bringing new services or products in the biotechnology and food markets.

PRODUCTS
DIETARY fiber

Moisture absorbing, anticaking and non-calorific supplement. Widely applicable on cheese, confectionaries, mayonnaise, baked foods, fruit bars and Sauce.

PLANT CATALYST (PC)

PC is a liquid biofertilizer produced by enzymatic conversion of fresh fish protein in to hydrolysate. PC contains natural growth promotants, comprising proteins, carbohydrates, enzymes, amino acids, macro and micro nutrients. Field studies and trials at various locations in south India has resulted complete reduction of stunt growth in paddy cultivations and increases the overall yield by 20 %. Currently the product is sold in various places of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

CURRENT PROJECTS

Devising multi dye resistant membrane filtration system to remove both dyes and heavy metals from Textile effluents.

Screening agro waste for ß-glucan.

Developing enzyme modified advanced food stabilizers with excellent functional properties and application.

Consulting for manufacturing process for production of egg powders from egg processing wastes and application as aqua feed.

Microcore have designed, developed a new technology for efficient conversion of cellulosic wastes from bagasse and egg wastes into biofuels.

Microcore is working towards using food grade dehusking and polishing enzymes in rice processing industry to improve the rice quality, avoid broken rice. The technology is underway for testing at production scale.

RESEARCH

Microcore uses waste accumulated from agro processing industries in India that are free from pesticide, insecticide, and other residues for production of dietary fibers.

Microcore is involved in discovery, screening and developing microbial database of rare microorganisms, and the potential metabolites that can be produced from it. Presently, Microcore Pvt Ltd has a proprietary collection of over500 micro-organisms that includes Streptomyces, Fungi, Actinomycets, Myxomycetes and Bacteria that can be used to produce nutritional and pharmaceutical high value metabolites.

Development of a novel fermentation process for the production of Butyl hydroxyl toluene (Antioxidant), 2,4-Di-Tert-Butyl Phenol (Antioxidant, increasing the storage stability of biodiesel), and Benzoic acid, 4 ethoxy ethyl ether (fruity aroma) from non- lactose fermenting Lactobacilli sp. Patent filing of strain and technology is currently under progress.

Isolation of novel oleaginous fungi for poly unsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) production. Process development and purification of compounds are currently under progress. Patent filing of strain and technology is underway.

Exploring the wastes accumulated by various industries of South India and working on the conversion of waste in to wealth and value additions.

Screening and Isolation of novel and potent biocide from microbial source is under progress

Screening microbial source for the production of speciality enzymes that includes Phospholipase A2, Glucose Oxidase and Pullulanase is under progress.

Exploring novel synthetic routes for conversion of fibers to thickeners, for use as adhesives, waterborne paints and suspension agents for PVC polymerization.

Exploring soluble and insoluble dietary fibers as food stabilizers for best functional properties.
