PROJECTS 2007
- Microcore successfully accomplished the contract research to trouble shoot and develop an advanced food grade process to obtain bright colored and residue free sago products for RPP SAGO FACTORY Erode. The advanced process delivered by Microcore enabled RPP sago production to achieve residue free production upto 200 metric ton per year.
- Developed technology for the production of "MODIFIED STARCH", which was successfully transferred to production for SPAC TAPIOCA PRODUCTS LTD Erode. The products include Industrial Glue Powder (Dextrin White and Yellow), Cationic Starch, Oxidized Starch, Corrugation Gum Powder, Pasting Powder Cold and Tapioca Soluble Starch. The
technology involves starch modification using a combination of physical, chemical and enzymatic routes. Process transfer for the large-scale production of soluble starch was successful. The soluble starch has been identified as most suitable carbohydrate source for slow release of sugars to increase overall yields of polyketide by submerged fermentation.
