Agro
processing - Waste to wealth
India is the fifth largest legume produced in the world. India has been one of the leading producers of Bengal gram for several decades, accounting for nearly 68.13 % of the world production. Tamil Nadu is one of the largest dhal processing states with the dhal processing facility that ranges from cottage industries to state of Art and modernized manufacturing plants 10,000 to 1, 00,000 tons/anum of Bengal gram. These dhal processing industries accumulate huge quantity of Bengal gram husk.
High fibers diets have been reported to reduce risk of colon and rectal cancers, blood serum cholesterol levels and serum cholesterol. Currently, work on improving various functional properties that can increase insulin secretion, regulate hormone secretions, regulate cholesterol synthesis, bulking stomach, anti obesity are in progress. Microcore identified that the true potential of the husk of Bengal gram contains essential non-glycemic, dietary cellulose fibers, which can be used in daily diet to control obesity. We developed a process and patented the technology for the converting husk of Bengal gram to insoluble dietary fibers and micro-crystalline dietary cellulose. At present we are in the process of designing a pilot scale facility for producing these fibers.
DIAFIBE (Insoluble Dietary
fiber)
Dietary fiber produced from Bengal gram, processed as per the guidance of cGMP. The product is powdered cellulose, neutral, bland, odorless used as dietary fiber, improves a vast range of food products by providing unique processing on water binding, thickening, moisture absorbing, softness promoting and anti-caking agent. Widely applicable on cheese, diet beverages, confectionaries, mayonnaise, powders, frozen foods, various baked foods, extruded foods, pasta, potato products, cereals, fruit bars, spices, beverages, food dressings, health drink formulation, pizza, burger and instant food preparations. Diafibe insoluble is a superior alternative by its unique functional characteristics. Neutral taste and is an excellent fat substitute that helps to reduce calories.
Onionfibe (Onion Peal)
Fiber concentrate processed from Onion pulp, the total dietary fiber content is nearly 96% that can be used as
calorie free or fat reduction in baked foods.
Micrococrystalline Cellulose (MCC)
Microcrystalline cellulose as
an indigestible dietary fiber
that has excellent sensory properties for use in food
applications.
Powdered Cellulose (P-Cel)
Purified cellulose prepared from organic fibers. Powdered cellulose serves as an indigestible dietary fiber ,separating agent or carrier material and is of high
chemical and microbial purity.
Beet fibe (Beet root)
Processed from Beet root. Beet pulp is highly digestible making it a good non - starch energy source , beet pulp can be mainly used to reduce rumen acidosis, used in bread baking to impart softness.
Carrtofibe (Carrot)
Processed from carrot, it is a creamy white, bland, neutral, granular fibrous non -starch fiber, that offers lower
rumen acidosis and fat content.
Soya fibe (Soya hulls)
Processed from Soya hulls, Off white , is water
swell able and contains pectin rich fibers without urease activity. It has more than 60 % of insoluble and
swell able fibers and has high water
absorption ability.
Tapi fibe (Tapioca)
Processed from Tapioca tubers, free from residue such as silicate and cyanide content, which is used for
the production of industrial grade raw materials.
Garlifibe (Garlic)
Processed from garlic peal very high water absorption 1:15
